About SAP BTP Administrator
SAP BTP Administrator focuses on managing, configuring, securing, and monitoring all services, subaccounts, entitlements, and runtime environments within SAP Business Technology Platform. This role ensures stable platform operations, cost governance, user access control, and smooth deployment of applications and integrations across the enterprise. A BTP Administrator acts as the technical backbone for all SAP BTP services such as Integration Suite, CAP, Fiori, WorkZone, Build Apps, Kyma/Kubernetes, Mobile Services, and more.
Core Responsibilities
Subaccount & Global Account Administration
- Create and configure Global/Directory/Subaccounts
- Manage entitlements, quotas, and service assignments
- Setup regions, environments (Cloud Foundry, Kyma, ABAP)
Security & Identity Management
- Configure IAS, IPS, and trust configurations
- Manage business users, role collections & authentication flows
- Enable SSO, OAuth, SAML, JWT-based access
Service Provisioning & Lifecycle Management
- Provision BTP services (CPI, API-M, Build Apps, Workzone, HANA Cloud)
- Manage service instances, bindings, and configurations
- Monitor service health, logs, and consumptions
Cloud Foundry Administration
- Manage orgs, spaces, quotas
- Deploy, scale, restart, and troubleshoot applications
- Work with logs, environment variables, routes, and buildpacks
Cost, Usage & Audit Governance
- Monitor cost usage per subaccount
- Apply quota limits and usage governance
- Manage audit logs, activity logs, and security logs
Connectivity Administration
- Configure Destinations, Cloud Connectors (SCC)
- Setup On-Prem to Cloud secure tunneling
- Monitor connectivity, certificate renewal, and authentication
Monitoring & Troubleshooting
- Use BTP Cockpit, Audit Logs, CF CLI, Kyma Dashboard
- Troubleshoot service failures, quota issues, user access errors
- Manage platform-level incidents and support tickets
